Se encuentra en un clima sub\u00e1rtico con temperaturas que oscilan entre +1 y -6,3.  Los veranos son cortos y frescos, en el norte hace fr\u00edo.  En invierno, se caracteriza por mucha nieve.  Esta rep\u00fablica se distingue por un relieve variado, los Urales se encuentran al este.  Hay suficientes r\u00edos llanos, monta\u00f1osos, k\u00e1rsticos y 78 mil lagos en el territorio.  Los pantanos ocupan alrededor del 8% del territorio. Los prados se encuentran cerca de grandes r\u00edos.  Los prados secos se encuentran en la taiga sur.
