L&rsquo;une des caract\u00e9ristiques cl\u00e9s des repr\u00e9sentants de la flore est la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&rsquo;hiver.  C&rsquo;est elle qui d\u00e9termine la viabilit\u00e9 des plantes dans une zone particuli\u00e8re.  En fonction de la r\u00e9sistance au gel de la flore, il est n\u00e9cessaire de s\u00e9lectionner des organismes biologiques en pleine terre.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"nav1\">Les concepts et les caract\u00e9ristiques de la rusticit\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9sistance au gel des plantes<\/h2>\n<p>Leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9sister \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures basses (dans + 1 &#8230; + 10 degr\u00e9s) pendant une longue p\u00e9riode d\u00e9pend directement de la r\u00e9sistance au froid des plantes.  Si les repr\u00e9sentants de la flore continuent de cro\u00eetre avec des lectures de thermom\u00e8tre n\u00e9gatives, ils peuvent \u00eatre attribu\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 des plantes r\u00e9sistantes au gel.<\/p>\n<p>La rusticit\u00e9 hivernale est comprise comme la capacit\u00e9 des plantes \u00e0 poursuivre leur activit\u00e9 vitale dans des conditions d\u00e9favorables pendant plusieurs mois (par exemple, de la fin de l&rsquo;automne au d\u00e9but du printemps).  Les basses temp\u00e9ratures ne sont pas la seule menace pour les repr\u00e9sentants de la flore.  Les conditions d\u00e9favorables comprennent les changements brusques de temp\u00e9rature, le dess\u00e8chement hivernal, la fonte des semis, les d\u00e9gels prolong\u00e9s, le gel, le trempage, les coups de soleil, les charges de vent et de neige, le givrage, les gel\u00e9es de retour pendant la p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9chauffement printanier.  La r\u00e9action d&rsquo;une plante \u00e0 l&rsquo;agressivit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;environnement d\u00e9termine sa r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l&rsquo;hiver.  Cet indicateur ne s&rsquo;applique pas \u00e0 des valeurs constantes, il peut p\u00e9riodiquement diminuer ou augmenter. Cette caract\u00e9ristique est pos\u00e9e au niveau de la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique. Si des temp\u00e9ratures n\u00e9gatives pr\u00e9valent dans la r\u00e9gion, alors sans une \u00e9paisse couche de neige, la probabilit\u00e9 qu&rsquo;ils survivent est plut\u00f4t faible.  Dans de telles zones, il est n\u00e9cessaire de cr\u00e9er une couche isolante en paillant le sol autour de la plante.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est au d\u00e9but de l&rsquo;hiver (en d\u00e9cembre, janvier) que les plantes ont une r\u00e9sistance maximale \u00e0 l&rsquo;hiver.
