Marshmallow belongs to perennial plants, mallow family. Its root has one thick woody root and many small branches. Marshmallow leaves are covered with fluff, there are several stems. In the second year of life, flowers begin to bloom at the plant. The main raw material for the manufacture of medicines is the root of the plant, but the upper part of the marshmallow is also used.
Use of marshmallow officinalis

Marshmallow roots can be prepared by yourself. To do this, they are dug up in the fall, the soil and the main root with small branches are removed. For drying, only the main lateral roots are used, which are cut into pieces and dried in the fresh air. In cosmetology, marshmallow medicinal is used to relieve irritation – it is enveloped in inflamed areas. It is applied for:

- removing irritation after shaving;
- hair, as a tincture to strengthen hair and stimulate their growth;
